What methods of payment can I use?
VISA and MasterCard. Direct debit is available at base locations. No cash.
How long does it take to receive my ticket in the mail?
If you requested a printed ticket, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
How long does it take to receive an e-ticket confirmation by e-mail?
Please allow 24 hours for the email to arrive. If you do not have it by email within 24 hours, you can email inquiries@starslotterysaskatchewan.ca. Please check your junk folder. If you choose an e-ticket you will not receive a printed ticket by mail.
How many tickets in total are available to be sold for STARS Lottery?
STARS LOTTERY will only offer 1,831,500 tickets for sale and will be sold at $60 each, a set of 3 for $125, a set of 15 for $250, a set of 50 for $375 or a set of 100 for $500.
How many tickets in total are available to be sold for LUCKY STARS 50/50 Lottery?
LUCKY STARS 50/50 will only offer 2,502,500 tickets for sale and will be sold at $10 each, a set of 5 for $25, a set of 15 for $50, a set of 30 for $75 and a set of 50 for $100.

How many names can be put on a ticket?
Up to two names can be placed on a ticket. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals on the ticket. STARS and Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) are not responsible for resolving any disputes which may arise between different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.
Is there an age restriction to purchase tickets?
Yes. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.
If I am not a resident of Saskatchewan can I still purchase a ticket?
Yes, however you must be physically in Saskatchewan at time of purchase.
Is my purchase tax deductible / do I get a tax receipt?
No, a tax receipt is not issued, as Canada Revenue Agency does not deem the purchase of a raffle (lottery) ticket is not a donation. All lottery winnings are tax free.
Are lottery winnings taxable?
Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada. For details regarding the sale of the show home, please seek professional counsel. Show home winners are responsible for property tax from the day of possession.
If I win the dream home do I have to live in it for a year or can I sell it?
The winner does not have to live in it and can be sold if the winner wishes and the title can be registered in someone else’s name. Please consult a tax professional regarding the possible capital gains from an appreciation in the home’s value at the time of sale.
Can a ticket be refunded?
Yes. However, if any ticket purchased has been entered in any draw, no refund will be issued after the draw has taken place.
Who is prohibited from purchasing tickets?
Contest rules prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets:
- Board members and senior executive of STARS
- Staff of Stride Management Corp. and their immediate family members
What is done with my personal information?
Stride Management Corp. and STARS respect your privacy. We do not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The personal information collected by STARS LOTTERY and LUCKY STARS 50/50 Lottery will be used to process ticket orders, notify winners, send out lottery information, and to contact you about future events and programs. You may opt out of our mailing/email lists at any time.

Where will the draws take place?
All draws (Loyalty, Bonus, Early Bird, Final and LUCKY STARS 50/50) will be under the supervision of Stride Management Corp. and will take place at the STARS Saskatoon base: 2475 Airport Rd., Saskatoon, SK. Any person wishing to view the draws may do so by attending at the above location on the draw date(s).

There are 51 cash Loyalty draw prizes worth $75,586 retail:

WHAT IS THE BON VOYAGE BONUS PRIZE PACKAGE?
There is one Bon Voyage Bonus prize, a travel credit for $100,000. This travel credit is valid for five years and for a maximum of four separate bookings, which must be inclusive of land and sea services. Or take $80,000 cash!
What is the Early Bird prize package?
This year’s Early Bird prize package is worth $274,712.81 retail:
- 2023 Thor Axis 24.1 RV
- $10,000 cash
- $5,000 fuel card
- $5,000 Saskatchewan Parks gift card
Or you can take the cash of $200,000 instead.
What are the grand prizes?
There are two grand prizes worth more than $2.6 million retail:
- 1 fully furnished 3,139 developed sq. ft. Regina-area dream home worth $1,532,000.
- 1 fully furnished 3,362 developed sq. ft. Saskatoon dream home worth $1,152,825.
What are the other 1,549 prizes?
The remaining prizes include three vehicles (or cash alternatives), four vacations (or cash alternatives), five Experience packages, 55 cash prizes, 250 lotto prizes, 900 gift cards, 47 home/outdoor prizes, 275 electronics and 10 jewellery prizes.

The cash value of the LUCKY STARS 50/50 prize is 50 percent of ticket sales, to a maximum of $2,502,500.
Do I have to purchase a ticket for STARS Lottery to purchase a ticket for LUCKY STARS 50/50 Lottery?
No, LUCKY STARS 50/50 tickets can be ordered at the same time as your STARS LOTTERY Saskatchewan ticket(s) or they can be ordered on their own.

Does STARS LOTTERY or LUCKY STARS 50/50 Lottery contact prize winners to request payment of any kind to cover taxes, shipping, etc.?
No, you are not required to pay fees or shipping to claim a prize. If you do receive a call and are asked for payment, please do the following:
- Hang up the phone or delete the email.
- Call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 to report the fraud attempt

WINNERS
How and when will the winners’ names be available?
A full list of lottery winners will be posted on the STARS LOTTERY website (starslottery.ca) no later than 5 days after the final draw.
How will winners be notified?
A STARS representative will attempt to contact major prize winners (Loyalty prizes, Bonus prize, Early Bird prize, LUCKY STARS 50/50, two show homes and three luxury vehicles) by phone. All winners will be notified in writing. If a winner cannot be notified after a period of one year from the draw date, their prize will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority.
Are ticket purchasers eligible for all prizes?
Ticket purchasers are eligible for all 1,604 prizes, provided their purchase was completed before the applicable draw deadline.
How are the draws conducted?
The lottery draws will be conducted using an RNG (Random Number Generation) system. The winning raffle draw number shall be determined from the pool of sold lottery ticket numbers.
Do prizes have to be accepted “as is”?
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutes, unless otherwise stated. All winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize(s), with the following exceptions/restrictions:
- All grand prize show home winners must claim their prize by the stipulated possession date.
- Vehicle winners have seven days from the draw date to choose the cash option or 45 days from the draw date to claim the vehicle.
- All vacation packages are valid for two year from the draw date. Extensions will be granted upon request, and blackout dates may apply. In the event that winners of travel prizes do not wish to travel to the destination they won, they will have an option to take cash as advertised.
Lottery prizes are tax free, and winners are not obligated to live in the show home. Any costs associated with the delivery of a prize due to distance or unique circumstances will be covered by STARS.
