STARS LOTTERY will only offer 942,000 tickets for sale and will be sold at $60 each, a set of 5 for $125, a set of 15 for $250, a set of 30 for $375 or a set of 50 for $500.

Lucky STARS 50/50 will only offer 2,500,500 tickets for sale and will be sold at $10 each, a set of 5 for $25, a set of 15 for $50, a set of 30 for $75 and a set of 50 for $100.

STARS Daily Cash will only offer 1,250,000 tickets for sale and will be sold at $10 each, a set of 5 for $25, a set of 15 for $50, a set of 30 for $75 and a set of 50 for $100.

Up to two names can be placed on a ticket. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals on the ticket. STARS and Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) are not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise between different individuals whose names appear on the ticket.

No, a tax receipt is not issued, as Canada Revenue Agency does not deem the purchase of a raffle (lottery) ticket is not a donation. All lottery winnings are tax free.

Lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada. For details regarding the sale of a dream home, please seek professional counsel. Dream home winners are responsible for property tax from the day of possession.

The winner does not have to live in it and can be sold if the winner wishes and the title can be registered in someone else’s name. Please consult a tax professional regarding the possible capital gains from an appreciation in the home’s value at the time of sale.

Yes. However, if any ticket purchased has been entered in any draw, no refund will be issued after the draw has taken place.

Contest rules prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets:

• Staff of Stride Management Corp. and their immediate family members

The Loyalty, Bonus, Early Bird, and STARS Daily Cash Loyalty, Bonus, Early Bird draws will be under the supervision of Stride Management Corp. and will take place at the STARS Saskatoon base: 2475 Airport Rd., Saskatoon, SK. The Final, Lucky STARS 50/50 and STARS Daily Cash Final draws will take place at the STARS Regina Base: Mosaic Hangar, 2640 Airport Rd., Regina, SK. Any person wishing to view the draws may do so by attending at the above locations on the draw date(s).

All winners will be posted on the STARS LOTTERY website (starslottery.ca) on the day their prize is awarded. Winners will also be contacted by STARS personnel to confirm their win once posted.

No, you can buy Lucky STARS 50/50 tickets or STARS Daily Cash tickets without purchasing a ticket for STARS LOTTERY.

No, you are not required to pay for shipping or any other fee to claim a prize. If you do receive a call and are asked for payment, please do the following:

• Hang up and document as much information as possible regarding the call.

• Call the Government of Canada Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 to report the fraud attempt.

A full list of STARS LOTTERY and Lucky STARS 50/50 winners will be posted on the STARS LOTTERY website (starslottery.ca) within five days after each applicable draw.

Two STARS Daily Cash winners will be posted within five days of each of the Loyalty, Bonus and Early Bird draws, and the remaining 34 winners will be posted daily from Aug. 13 to Sep. 15.

A STARS representative will attempt to contact major prize winners (Loyalty, Bonus, Early Bird, Lucky STARS 50/50, STARS Daily Cash, Grand prize show homes and three vehicle prizes) by phone. All winners will be notified in writing by mail. If a winner cannot be notified after a period of six months from the draw date, their prize will be donated to a charitable beneficiary approved by Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority.

Ticket purchasers are eligible for all 1,503 prizes, provided their purchase was completed before the applicable draw deadline.

The lottery draws will be conducted using an RNG (Random Number Generation) system. The winning raffle draw number shall be determined from the pool of sold lottery ticket numbers.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutes, unless otherwise stated. All winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize(s), with the following exceptions/restrictions:

• All Grand prize dream home winners must claim their prize by the stipulated possession date.
• Vehicle winners have 90 days from the draw date to choose the cash option or 90 days from the draw date to claim the vehicle.
• All vacation packages are valid for two years from the draw date. Extensions will be granted upon request, and blackout dates may apply. In the event that winners of travel prizes do not wish to travel to the destination they won, they will have the option to take cash as advertised.

Lottery prizes are tax free, and winners are not obligated to live in the dream homes. Any costs associated with the delivery of a prize due to distance or unique circumstances will be covered by STARS.
